Send a Short-Term Team!

One of the ways that BEAMM helps local churches to reach out to their local community is through the assistance of work teams from churches throughout the United States. These work teams, made up of youth and adults, come to the border with a full range of skills and talents. But they come especially to offer the love of Jesus Christ in very practical ways. The teams help the border churches to offer Vacation Bible School, English camps, fellowship evangelism, and assist with various neighborhood clean-up and construction projects.

Do you have a week? Want to make a difference?  Why not try a Short-Term Missions trip to one of these BEAMM projects? There are many different ways that you can help:  construction, painting, evangelism, teaching English, or helping with a Vacation Bible School.  Plus you'll get to make new friends, eat new foods, and get to experience a new culture!  Sound exciting?

Here's How to Send a Team:

Step 1: Check the projects and weeks available on the list to the right to see if any of these fit what you would like to do and when you would like to do it.

Cost is $598 per person per week

Step 2: Once you have selected a possible week, contact a BEAMM Short-Term Project Administrator or an MTW Project Adminstrator to begin the process of scheduling your team for that week.

Step 3: After scheduling your week, an MTW Project Adminstrator will be in contact with you regarding the details of your visit to the border, and will provide you with all of the necessary forms and manuals that you will need to prepare your team. Later in the process, a BEAMM Short-Term Project Administrator will contact you to provide you with more detailed information as to the types of activities in which you will be involved, and additional ways in which you can prepare your team for your time with us, including copies of the BEAMM Short-Term Handbook. (Download a copy here.)

Step 4: As soon as you have them, please provide your BEAMM Short-Term Project Administrator with copies of your flight itinerary and team list. This will aid in our planning for your group.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFO: The requirements for returning back into the United States from Mexico have changed, effective January 31, 2008. Please click here to read the latest requirements. Your BEAMM hosts will be asking to check the identification documents of all of your team members upon your arrival to El Paso or San Diego. Anyone not having the necessary documents to cross back into the United States from Mexico will not be able to cross into Mexico with us. Your team leader will have to make arrangements for that person until he has such documents.

ALSO NOTE: We are doing everything that we can to keep the costs of your trip as low as possible while providing the maximum ministry impact possible. The budget used for your team covers the costs of ministry, housing, transportation, food, and salaries of national workers that we employ to help make your team the most effective that it can be. While we don't promise four-star accommodations, we do promise to provide you with a comfortable, safe, lodging environment. We strive to give you a variety of good, nutritious meals. We also strive to provide a safe construction or ministry site. We praise God for the fact that we have not had any major injuries over the past four years! We pray that God would continue to protect His servants from injury. You can help us to maintain the level of quality that we have endeavored to maintain by offering suggestions as to how we may improve your time with us. Please feel free to share these with your BEAMM Short-Term Project Administrator before, during, or after your trip.

We look forward to your serving with us!
