Miguel was born in the North of Durango, Mexico, and arrived in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico in 1988. A year later he met his wife Myrna in a factory where they both worked. They were married three years later. Their daughter, Karina, was born in 1992. In 1995, both came to Christ through the testimony of Josué and Martha Mayo who were just beginning the Vida Nueva Church. Their son, Samuel was born in 1996.

Miguel and Myrna were baptized as the first generation of members of Vida Nueva, after which they began working with the Sunday School. In 2000, Miguel realized one of his dreams by entering the School of Theology of the San Pablo Seminary. He was one of first graduating class of the Seminary in 2004. As Wilbert Frias left the pastorate of Vida Nueva Church in January, 2006, Miguel was asked to assume these reponsibilities. During 2006, while major construction took place at Vida Nueva, the Tierra Prometida Church invited folks from Vida Nueva to worship with them. It was kismet! The two congregations decided to fuse into one, and in September, 2006, officially became Promesa de Vida with Miguel and Juan Antonio Garcia serving as co-pastors. In October, 2006, Miguel was licensed by the Chihuahua Presbytery of the National Presbyterian Church in Mexico. In December, 2006, Miguel was asked by the Presbytery to move to Gomez Palacio, Durango, to take over a struggling church there. He returned to Juárez in August, 2007, with severe health problems mostly related to the very hard time that he had with that church. But, praise God, he has fully recovered, and is now preparing to move to Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, in July, 2008, along with Josue Mayo and Obed Uc, to begin planting BEAMM's first church in that city.
