Progress on the building in Encinitas! We had
a good three of days working on the building in Encinitas
preparing it to be dismantled by the owner in May. If
all goes on schedule, we will
need experienced volunteers the second and third weeks
of June to bundle, load and ship the building
to Mexicali, MX. Pray that these details will also work
out and that the transport will go smoothly.
On Tuesday 4/22, we measured the building's exact dimensions
and the exact locations of its structural members as
well as labeled its structural members with paint and
photo-documented many structural details. All of these
steps will aid the re-assembly process.
On Saturday 4/26, we removed 22 doors and their frames,
2 complete sets of A/C, heater, and air-handling systems,
two electrical panels with over 30 breakers, as well
as some lighting and misc. items.
Yesterday, 4/29, we removed about 200 electrical receptacles
and wall switches, 7 large industrial warehouse lights,
the remaining 4 ft florescent light fixtures (total
of 22), 21 - eight ft florescent light fixtures, a dish
washer, and a couple of fire extinguishers.
All combined, these recovered items have new values
over $20,000, so praise God for His provision in these
items!
Thanks as well to the hard working volunteers from New
Life PCA in La Mesa, CA; North City PCA in Poway, CA;
from New Life PCA in Escondido, CA; and my sons Stephen
and John Morgan.
In His service alone,
Morgan Roe

In
the News!
Downtown landmark soon to serve
the Lord in Mexico
San Diego Times-Tribune
Jan 26, 2008
Not a headline you would expect to see in San Diego's
largest newspaper, is it? That our Lord would get headline
acknowledgement as "the" Lord in a secular
paper is astounding and something for which we should
give Praise to God! Read
the entire article.
On Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2008, there was a ceremony
in Encinitas, CA to "de-commission" the building,
and BEAMM Western Regional Director Gary Nantt was able
to address the crowd of hundreds who were gathered.
While the echoes in the open building made it difficult
to hear the speakers, God was given credit and glory
for the re-use of this building "serving the Lord
in Mexico." Thank you for your prayers for this
event.
