Ray and Michele grew up in Orange County in southern California. Though they lived 10 minutes from one another it wasn't until Ray finished high school that they met. Michele knew the Lord at an early age, while Ray came to faith in Christ in high school. Ray went to college at California State University, Long Beach where he studied philosophy and psychology, graduating in 1995. Michele attended Biola University in CA where she graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies, also in 1995. When first married, Ray worked at a computer distributing company while Michele worked as a church secretary. During this time both Ray and Michele felt called into full-time ministry and went to work with Campus Crusade for Christ at Fresno State University. This was a fruitful time where they saw God at work in many ways. While there they were members of Sierra View Presbyterian Church (PCA). During their time in Fresno they sensed the need to continue their training. So in 2002 they left Campus Crusade for Ray to go to seminary full time at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. During their time in St. Louis they attended Christ Church (PCA). Ray graduated in May 2006 with a Master's of Divinity degree. Ray and Michele have five children: Rebecca, Jeremiah, AnnaGrace, John and Daniel.
Ray was first involved in missions in 1993 and 1995 when he went on two summer outreaches to Central Asia. God gave him a passion for reaching the lost and Ray was involved in promoting missions at his church in Huntington Beach. In 1998 Ray led a team from his church to Romania where the team worked with orphans and street children. Though Michele never went on a short term mission, she has long had a passion for the peoples of the world. While in seminary in St. Louis, Ray and Michele ministered to international students from Central America. God gave them both a love for the Latin culture and people. In 2006 they were approved to work with MTW and BEAMM in Mexicali, Mexico. Ray's work involves pastoral ministry as well as church planting. Ray and Michele desire to see God plant strong growing churches along the border. Their prayer is that God will glorify Himself in the lives of His people there as well as raise up laborers from there to bring the gospel message all over the world!
